100% natural cowhide
sustainability
The use of leather itself is eco-friendly: We use waste from the food industry, which if not reused would be destined to be eliminated and, therefore, contaminate. Leather is reborn, and at Re-Cuir finds new life as a practical and valuable product with longevity, which can be passed down from generation to generation.
Vegetable tanning
A high percentage of our leathers are vegetable tanned. This is a process that converts the skin into leather from vegetable tannins that are not harmful to people’s health or to the environment.
Upcycling
We recycle everything that is considered waste from the production chain and we give that waste a new life.
Second hand
We reuse second-hand leather items to give them a new life by completely restoring them using their raw material, then creating new items and allowing the leather to last.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
“More and better, every single day.”
That’s the favorite saying of our expert craftsman, Slava. This sentence defines us in our artisanal work in the workshop.
We work hand-in-hand in our own workshop in Born with our expert craftsmen and with other young craftsmen who are constantly under training.
RE-CUIR
THE DESIGN
We design our products to ensure that they meet our quality standards and brand values. We also design unique pieces that our clients suggest to us.
MATERIALS
We use materials from local suppliers; taking sustainability seriously is extremely important to us. Our products consist of: 100% natural cowhide, vegetable tanned, metal accessories (trims, buckles, etc.) made of nickel-free metals, and organic cotton fabrics.
THE KNOW-HOW
Our experience working with leather since 1980 has allowed us to acquire a deep knowledge of the design and production of vintage-style products. We work with our own leather washing and dyeing techniques, which contributes to our unique style.
